Joel Podolny
CEO and Co-Founder
Prior to starting Honor Education, Joel was a Vice President at Apple and the founding Dean of Apple University, where he oversaw learning in areas such as leadership, management, and company culture. Before that, Joel served as Dean and Professor of Management at the Yale School of Management. He previously held professorships at Harvard Business School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

We tracked engagement during two types of asynchronous learning sessions: in the first, learners were able to observe how their colleagues were reacting to the material, and in the second, employees had no visibility of their colleagues. We found that individuals were 3x more engaged when they were able to learn collectively alongside their colleagues in virtual sessions.
